Michelle

Michelle Blakemoore-Irving

Owner and Forest School Leader

Hi, I’m Michelle and I am a qualified Early Years Teacher, College Lecturer, Children and Young Person’s Counsellor, Special Educational Needs Coordinator and Paediatric First Aider. I love teaching children and young people about the wonders of nature and the joy of the outdoors. For me, mess definitely means fun and the best days always end in dirty clothes. I am ‘that child’ who always finds the muddy puddle to squelch in or who is looking for minibeasts in the dirt and under rocks. The natural environment is a wonderland that inspires creativity and imagination, but also encourages children to self-access risk in a safe and supportive environment.  Providing these opportunities from an early age allows children to grow into strong independent little people. I look forward to meeting you… bring your wellies!

Nia Wright

Forest School Assistant

Hi, I’m Nia, and I’m a forest school assistant at Nestlings. I’ve always loved being outdoors, from making rose petal perfume that I gathered in the garden to chasing my big sister around the garden with worms. I love my role at Nestlings; I enjoy watching the children in the forest achieve new skills, but my favourite thing to do is make willow crowns. I’m studying health and social care at a local college and have been accepted on a cadetship to enable me to become a paramedic.
